Celebrating National Nurses Week 2017

St. David’s Medical Center hosted its annual Blessing of the Hands for nurses and patient care technicians.

This week, ECPR joined several of our clients to celebrate National Nurses Week (May 6-12).

Every year, Americans recognize National Nurses Week in May, which coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. National Nurses Week is designed to celebrate the nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness everyday.

As part of the celebration, St. David’s Medical Center hosted its annual Blessing of the Hands for nurses and patient care technicians. Photographers from the Austin American Statesman and reporters from Fox 7 Austin and Spectrum News were on hand to capture the event.

Additionally, our friends at the Children’s Hospital Association of Texas recognized the staff at Texas Children’s Hospital and its nurses who work tirelessly to provide children with the care they deserve.

Finally, St. David’s HealthCare released their annual Nurses Week Appreciation video which chronicles the important impact that nurses have on us everyday. ECPR’s video strategist and her team developed a concept that takes the audience through all of the important interactions a nurse has throughout a typical shift and the emotions that accompany these interactions.

Nurses touch the lives of so many people, providing unwavering support for patients and their loved ones. ECPR is honored to have the opportunity to celebrate nurses—and to raise awareness of the important role they play in delivering exceptional care to patients—during National Nurses Week and year round.
