ECPR Client Campaign Keeps Drivers Safe

After 15 years in public relations, my favorite part of the job is still taking part in a client campaign that I know will make a significant and positive impact in the community.

ECPR had one of those experiences this week with our longtime client, Texas Mutual Insurance Company.

Texas Mutual and its partners, including the City of Amarillo, TXDoT, Amarillo insurance agencies, and oil and gas companies, launched the “Give Safety a Hand” campaign, which aims to reduce the number of driving-related injuries and fatalities for oil and gas workers, in Amarillo, Texas.

The public education campaign gives drivers the tips and tools they need to be safe on the road. It also provides resources for employers to talk with employees — in English and Spanish — about the importance of driving safely.

The trip to Amarillo included eight local media interviews and lunch with more than 60 community leaders, including the mayor of Amarillo. It was a terrific launch to what is sure to be a meaningful and successful campaign, and ECPR was proud to be involved.
