At Elizabeth Christian Public Relations (ECPR), we’re committed to serving our clients and our community. This responsibility is shared by our entire team and manifests itself in a variety of ways, including volunteering for a range of organizations. Among them are Ballet Austin, the Junior League, Divine Canines, the National Domestic Violence Hotline and United Way for Greater Austin. As proud Austinites, we view giving back as both a responsibility and a privilege.
This commitment to the community is demonstrated by ECPR leaders. Elizabeth Christian, our CEO, is the 2019 chair of the American Heart Association’s 15th annual Go Red For Women Luncheon in Austin on Friday, March 1. This event offers a chance to support a common cause, while raising awareness and funds for women’s heart health.
The American Heart Association, which raises money for heart and stroke research, created the Go Red For Women campaign 15 years ago to draw attention to the threat of heart disease in women. Today, the campaign is a movement that brings together thousands of women annually. We have clients, colleagues and some in our own families touched affected by heart-related health issues. They inspire us to serve this cause and raise awareness.
Kristin Marcum, our president, is also dedicated to leading our team’s commitment to the community. Marcum will chair the Austin Chamber of Commerce’s annual Austin Gives Awards on April 12, which recognizes businesses that give back to the community through volunteer time, products, services and financial support.
Nominations for the Austin Gives Awards are being accepted through February 8. ECPR invites you to consider nominating your company or a company you admire for its commitment to the community.
With this new year, we believe it’s time for a renewed commitment to our community. ECPR is excited for all the opportunities 2019 may bring and we invite you to join us in our mission to serve.
