Increased visibility for nonprofits is essential for fundraising

At ECPR, we are proud to serve a wide range of clients, from high tech to health care to nonprofits. I am honored to work with United Way for Greater Austin (UWATX) and to support its efforts to provide resources and opportunities for low-income children and families in our community.

Austin nonprofits make our city a better place to live, yet sometimes their work goes unnoticed. Many nonprofits are unable to allocate a significant amount of their budgets and/or dedicate staff members to their communication efforts. However, public relations should be a key component in any nonprofit’s strategic plan.

There is a term in the nonprofit sector known as “brandraising”—developing a clear, consistent identity and communications system that supports increasing visibility and raising money.

Increasing a nonprofit’s visibility through earned media, marketing and digital platforms plays a significant role in generating donors, recruiting more volunteers and growing awareness within the community.

UWATX is a great example of an organization that successfully implements a “brandraising” approach to building and sustaining relationships with volunteers, donors and stakeholders.

Here is just a small sample of recent stories about UWATX’s positive impact on our community:
